CHARACTER INFO:
At his core, Tyki is a simple man driven by enjoyment. He follows what he finds interesting and rarely deviates from that. He is not a character to be driven by righteousness, justice, or strong morals. Life comes, life goes. “Make the most of it and enjoy” is his motto. Now this doesn't mean he is passive about life. It's more that he searches for the least amount of effort that provides the greatest payoff. If something catches his eye, he'll take interest in it. If not, he lets it pass by.

Not much is know about Tyki's past before Joyd, the Noah Memory of Pleasure, woke inside of him but it did bring an opportunity to spice up his life. At this point, he began to balance living two distinct lifestyles. One lifestyle, dubbed his 'white life', is that of a migrant worker travelling from town to town with a group of buddies. They are a poor, scraggly bunch yet hard working and jovial with a knack for cheating at poker. They got by day to day and seemed content with their lot in life. His other side, his ‘black life’, is a member of the Noah Clan. His tasks usually involved killing Exorcists and wandering the world in order to find and destroy the magical weapons the Exorcists use in battle known as Innocence. And Tyki’s favorite method of death was removing someone’s organs from the inside and then putting them up for display.

Now Tyki likes both lives equally. He takes just as much enjoyment hanging out with his human friends as much as he enjoys killing for the Earl. Both please him and instead of picking one or the other, he chooses to parade as both. However, he does fear that going too far in his black life will make him unable to return to his white life. So he lives in constant struggle. Tyki even goes so far as to suppress his full Noah abilities. This constant challenge is what makes having both lives interesting. Even though it seems a lot of work and effort, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tyki himself is a very social creature. He likes humans. He likes them a lot. He enjoys hanging out with them, laughing with them, sharing stories, and generally being around people. Making new bonds is important to him as he isn’t one to spend a lot of time alone brooding. However, on the flip side, he also enjoys killing them and in very cruel ways. It takes a special kind of mentality to kill a person by removing their organs and watching them bleed out from the inside. He enjoys watching them die just as much as he enjoys watching them live. There really isn’t any hatred in it. It is just entertaining.

This doesn’t mean he is dumb or unaware of the results of his actions. While Tyki isn’t a man of education, he isn’t foolish. Morally, he knows killing is bad. He is aware that the Earl’s plan will inflict misery and suffering upon a lot of people. He also knows he can’t sustain the two lives he’s constructed forever. But that isn’t the point. The point is the here and now. He’s going to the live in the moment.

This attitude along with his laid back demeanour really makes it easy for Tyki to be adaptable. He doesn’t hold onto things tightly and flows through life rather than try to redirect it. For example, he and Allen Walker have had their share of ups and downs and attempted stabbing at each other multiple times, but he still likes the boy.

As the series progresses, the time comes for Tyki to choose between the two lives he has created. The protagonist, Allen Walker, is going to kill the Noah inside him while his sister is trying to save him. When faced with this, Tyki chooses to prevent his sister from interfering and let his Noah be exorcised. However, the results weren’t expected and the whole plan backfired. Joyd, his Memory, is fully awakened. Once that settles down, Tyki abandons his white life and focuses on the Earl's task in earnest.

After this point, we see Tyki starting to struggle with the Noah inside him. It frightens him a bit, but not enough to get off this path he’s chosen. He even refers to Joyd as the monster in his head rather than simply power as he described it before. His exorcism scars seem to be bothering him as he takes note of them often. Tyki becomes more brooding and introspective when left to his own devices.

But not too much! Tyki is still Tyki after all. He still seems to maintain his core personality. He still wants to enjoy life and make the most out of it. While he isn’t back with his human friends, he still remains social and acts the same to his Noah family. He is the brother that picks on his siblings while but equally getting picked on. He is the ally that makes snide comments in the middle of battle but also help bring the injured to safety at the end. All in all, being taken over does seem like a worry for him, but he doesn’t keep it the forefront of his mind. He’s just going to take this road down wherever it leads, enjoying every step of the way.

CONSIDERATIONS:
Without the influence of his Noah, Tyki will return to being a pretty chill guy. The Noah is his source of madness, instability, and desire to kill. Now, he might not go as far as to be a traveling bum, but he will take on that personality type, the role of the older brother. Not the best role model, but he's the kind of person that will gather everyone up together to play baseball or something. Tyki is also the type of person to be sarcastic and make fun of people, but receive it in turn with much joy.

He'll still be very social as well. He’ll probably spend most of his time just chatting and hanging out with people. His arrogance will most likely die down as well as he won't seem himself having abilities greater than a human. So in general, he'll be a laid back, lazy guy looking for good company and things to keep his interest which the wide new world should provide him.

As he regains memories, however, it will be interesting to see how he deals with his actions as a murderer and knowing that he enjoyed it. After gaining his memories and abilities, he may make a different choice when confronted with the two different lifestyles he is able to lead. Also, without the influence of the other Noah to kindle that desire for destruction, he will grow differently in how he views himself and the abilities he is given.

SKILLS:
Noah - All bearers of Noah memories are given enhanced speed, strength, and endurance. These are all in varying degrees, but they all have abilities greater than a normal human. The Noah Clan also has a slightly altered physical appearance from a human such as a darker skin, golden eyes, and cross marks on their forehead. All Noah get the ability to control Dark Matter. This allows them to destroy Innocence.

Choice - Tyki can choose what in the world he wants to interact with. If he wants to walk through a wall, he can. Stand on the air? Sure! Rip out someone’s heart without touching anything else in their body? You betcha! The only thing he can't choose to accept or reject is Innocence, the weapons used by the Exorcists and protagonists of his world.

Reject - Along with choosing, Tyki can reject spaces. He can rid an entire location of air, turning it into a vacuum.

Lasers - Tyki can shoot laser beams from his hands. Cool, no?

Thick Skin/Claws - Mostly on his arms, he can turn the skin into something tough and black. With this, he is able to block attacks with his bare skin. His hands can also be changed into claws for maiming damage.

Tease - This really isn't a skill of Tyki's himself. The Earl creates these mechanical flesh eating butterflies. Tyki can cart them around inside his body and phase the Tease into other people, which means that the unfortunate victim will be eaten from the inside out.

Fully Awakened Joyd (Unicorn Tentacle Knight) - When Joyd fully awakens, the being remaining can't really be called Tyki. He is a person craving death and destruction. Joyd has increased speed, strength, and stamina far greater than Tyki. He also can damage people from farther away with blasts or without any fanfare at all. He also has vines growing out of his back he can use to ensnare people.

Con Artist - Tyki is an decent con man especially when dealing with poker.

Tradesman - Did a lot of manual labor jobs such as mining.

Upper circle social conduct - He also has had training in higher, more elite social circles so he knows how to be polite, dance, and entertain the wealthy and prestigious.

Fishing - able to catch fish with bare hands! Or use a fishing pole.
